When you’re running a high-speed line, you can’t just wing it. You need the wavelengths to be exactly right.
It’s More Than Just a Bulb
Here’s the thing: we don’t just sell you a bulb and wish you luck. We build the whole module. A standard lamp gives you a broad spectrum, sure. But if you’re printing fast, you need a very specific balance of wattage and length. We obsess over the electrode spacing and the gas pressure inside. Why? Because if the intensity dips even 5% at the edges of the web, you’re looking at uncured ink and a massive pile of wasted scrap. Nobody wants to toss a whole roll of material because the edges didn’t dry.
Dealing With the Heat
High-wattage lamps gethot. Really hot. To stop them from cooking everything, we use custom reflectors. They do two things: they shove the UV energy straight down where it belongs and vent the heat away from the lamp. We also use high-purity quartz. It stops the glass from “solarizing” (getting cloudy), so the light stays crisp for thousands of hours. But you’ve got to be careful with your cooling. These modules dump a ton of IR heat. If your chiller or air system isn’t beefy enough to handle the wattage, your bulbs are going to burn out way too fast. The good news? We design the footprint to fit right into your existing press frames. It’s a simple swap.
